As idealistic as some other zodiac signs, the Libran expects to find the perfect romance whereas other signs might expect to find the perfect partner. The male Libran longs to be carried away by a dramatic affair, but has no idea how to make the romance last and will cause problems in the relationship just to make things interesting when he gets bored. This, and his indecisiveness, are the main reasons that male Librans tend to cheat more than any sign in the zodiac. He knows how to spot a problem from a mile away, but has no idea how to solve it and no faith in being patient. (After all, why be patient when it just means that youâll be too old and ugly to have fun once youâve finally found out youâve made a mistake by sticking around, hoping for things to get better?)
As an ex, the Libran will be more than happy to turn all of your friends against you. If this means that heâll have to sleep with half of New York and start his own talk show, then heâll obligingly make the sacrifice if it means isolating you. Why would he want you isolated? There are a few reasons. To prove a point: Libra = the World; therefore, no Libra = no World. And from an evolutionary point of view, if you and he are the last people in the world, then you are more likely to focus your attention on him again. He has another, more vulnerable reason for wanting everyone on his side: heâs afraid heâs made a mistake. And because he is such a socio ⦠social person, his anxiety can be put to rest only if the opinions of everyone else support what heâs done. Thereâs nothing like a closed door or lost opportunity to make a Libran hyperventilate and send him into a minor catatonic state in which he cannot do anything for fear of accidentally making a mistake. And in the realm of human society, few doors get slammed as loudly as those that are closed in a breakup.
It takes the poor Libran a while to get over a breakupânot because he was actually emotionally involved with the person, but because the breakup brought all of his negative traits into sharp relief, stripping him of the usual masks he hides behind. Thinking that there might be someone out there who knows him very well and still doesnât want to be with himâstill doesnât find him good enoughâisnât one of those happy thoughts that makes a person fly, even with a bucketful of fairy dust. Heâll also get a little paranoid, wondering what youâre doing now that youâre free (the Libran isnât that far from the Scorpio in the zodiac, and Scorpio is the sign of the stalker) ⦠wondering if youâre telling anyone about his secrets, if youâre making fun of him. So heâll overreact if he hears that
